Biography

Esther is a MPhil student working with the Paszkowski lab investigating the role of NGT1 across various arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi species. They are originally from the Bay Area, CA, USA, and earned their Bachelor's at Stanford University. At Stanford, Esther worked with the Peay lab on ectomycorrhizal fungi. Their previous research projects focused on the community assembly of mycorrhizal fungal communities. They are interested in anything fungi, and plan to continue to pursue a PhD researching the molecular mechanisms that underlie mycorrhizal fungal symbioses.
