Jess Chambers
Senior Research Laboratory Technician
Research group: Cereal symbiosis

Biography
Jessica completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Leeds, where she worked with several crop species. Her Masters project investigated how the presence of the common black-grass weed alters the regulation of candidate root development genes in winter wheat, with the aim of increasing wheat resilience to competitive signalling. She now works in the Cereal Symbiosis group on a project researching the benefit of mycorrhizal fungi to crop nutrition.
