Sarah Chidi Ihenko
MPhil in Biological Sciences (Crop Science) Postgraduate Student
Research group: Genetic and epigenetic inheritance in plants

Biography
Sarah's research focuses on meiotic recombination and its potential to accelerate crop improvement, particularly by increasing crossover frequency and enabling recombination in normally suppressed genomic regions in tomato. She interested in the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that shape genome variation, with broader interests in plant genetics, genomics and bioinformatics for crop improvement.
